You Cannot Change Your Life By Pointing at Someone Else

Note:  This blog is being relocated to www.koropeski.com

All too often in my work as a Transformation Facilitator, people ask me how they can change their partner's behaviour so that they can be happier with their partner.  It's so difficult for people to look inside of themselves instead of pointing at the other person and attributing their own insecurities and problems to their partner's behaviour.  As within so without.  You've heard that saying a thousand times and in many different ways.  Guess what?  It's true.  :o)

Your partner will always reflect back to you what it is that is inside of you that needs healing, as will your companion animals.  If you are feeling jealous, you will attract a partner to bring that out in you.  Heal the jealousy and the whole situation changes.  Sometimes it changes more than we have bargained for - but alas, when things are healed inside of oneself, the outside does indeed change.

Have courage and look inside.  Heal yourself and strive for neutrality in the face of the behaviours of others that upset you.  It's really the only real way you can stop attracting those things that upset you.  Otherwise we just keep recreating the issue until we "get it".  Put the pointer finger down, and look inside.

Although many will say that they are ready to do this, only a few really have the courage to actually do it - when it comes down to the wire.  Do you have the courage you need to look inside of yourself???

Dropping the Need for Things to be Different with Our Loved Ones

Note:  This blog is being relocated to www.koropeski.com

When it comes to being neutral and non-reactive to people and situations, it is a lot easier when it isn't close or personal.  The closer and more personal things are, the harder it is to feel okay inside ourselves when things don't look the way we'd like them to.
What is really interesting for me this summer is that I'm noticing how much I resist how my loved ones show up in my life.  I want them to be happy and peaceful and when they don't show up that way I have resistance to how they are because I'd rather see them happy!!
Well a good lesson learned this past week, and some thoughts on the matter, really helped me to understand that it's OKAY for people to feel the way they feel and to make the decisions that they make.  I don't have to agree with what they do or say or how they feel.  But as soon as it brings me down, and I feel the NEED to cheer them up so I can feel more comfortable inside, I'm on the control side of things!
So this summer my goal is to allow my loved ones to show up however it is that they show up.  Allow them to experience life with all it's ups, downs, curves and straight lines.
Reminds me of a song (old old song) by Dan Hill.  Here's an excerpt of the words:
"Welcome baby boy to a brand new world.  May the tears fall like a rainstorm from your eyes.  Looks like life kinda took ya by surprise.  Oh, surprise.
You're so tiny that is scares me, and so charged with life it makes me so happy that I think I'm gonna cry.  Life has come to meet you child, play it safe, play it wild, reach for the truth, beyond the rules, beyond the games.  Life is yours and yours alone, free to settle, free to roam.  Free to grow and free to change, or free to fight to stay the same....."
It's really about allowing, and dropping our NEED to have our loved ones be, and show up, differently in our lives.  So today and this summer, I focus on dropping my need to have things my way.  And to be comfortable and okay inside myself regardless of what others choose.
Many Blessings and have a fun weekend!

The Problem with Positive Thinking

Note:  This blog is being relocated to www.koropeski.com

Thinking positive is really what everyone is trying to do, and done correctly it's just great!
There are however, some clear misunderstandings about positive thinking, which can actually be very harmful.  I see this quite often when working with clients and thought it would be a good idea to clarify what positive thinking really is.
When you feel great and you are thinking that life is good, it's easy to think positive.  That's easy.  But what happens when you have a rough day and don't feel very good about life?
So many people will force themselves to think happy thoughts and block out the feelings that they are actually having in their body.  I am not talking about the stories going around in our heads, I'm talking about the actual visceral physical feelings in the body.
To disregard these feelings and push them away, like they don't exist, will just bury them in the body.  Later, of course, they produce pain, disease and discomfort.  These blockages are what prevent us from rising in consciousness as well because they have an energy signature to them that is of a lower vibration.
Rather than disregard these feelings by "thinking positive", tend to them by feeling them.  All you have to do is pay attention to the feelings and watch them.  Oberserve them neutrally.  A positive thought at this time would just be to drop the story that triggered the feeling in the body, know that the feelings are not who you are, and watch them.  Knowing that they will pass and that all is in Divine timing is also a positive thought at this time.
A very good example of this is a woman who called me because she was in terrible pain all throughout her body.  I worked with her until she started to cry and the pain began to subside.  I asked her if she had ever cried after her husband has passed.  She told me that no, she hadn't cried, and dare she feel sorry for herself!  She'd had a great life with this man who left her quite comfortable and she would not resort to crying or feeling sorry for herself.
What the pain was trying to tell her was that she was grieving for her husband, yet she pushed it away for almost a year and wouldn't feel the grief.  It was just a misunderstanding about what grief is, and what feeling sorry for herself was.  She was doing her version of positive thinking!  My suggestion was to feel the feelings in her body and to know that the sadness she felt would pass if she acknowledged it.  Her pain improved overnight!
So positive thinking is great, in context.  But ignoring what is right there staring you in the face is harmful to the physical and energetic bodies.  So honour what is, even when it's uncomfortable or painful.  And think positive about that discomfort or pain, and know that it will pass, and it's not who you truly are.  Let your mind wander to lovely things too, like your children, pets, flowers etc.  But truly look at what is there and don't push it away.  It will just create a time bomb that will go off later with some sort of health issue.
Many Blessings,
Maureen

What Kinds of Questions Can I Ask???

Note:  This blog is being relocated to www.koropeski.com

The Universe/God whatever you like to call the Divine Power that has created all that there is, is always delivering to you everything you ask for.  The reason it doesn't always arrive at our doorsteps though, is because we aren't open to receiving everything we ask for.  We block it out with our subconscious programs.  Remember that the subconscious mind is a million times more powerful than the conscious mind, so it is really important to make sure that your subconscious mind is going in the direction you want it to!!  You might want to travel east, but if your subconscious mind is travelling west you'll always face difficulty getting where you want to go, if indeed you ever even get there!

Often people think that they have the subconscious programs for something when they really don't at all.  I continuously work with people who are shocked at what beliefs are not in their subconscious programs, because consciously they truly believe it with all their heart and soul!!!  Big difference!

So ask questions that will open you up to the gifts you've asked for!  Here are some sample questions:

What would it take for all of my dreams to come true?
What would it take for me to have clarity about my career path?
What would it take for me to have the most joyful day of my life ever, today?
What would it take for all the prosperity and abundance I've ever dreamed of, to come to me now?
How could I be more healthy and energetic than I ever dreamed possible?
How could I grow younger physically/biologically in every cell of my body in every way in every moment of every day?

Just keep asking - the sky is the limit.  Send the questions out as much as possible.  REMEMBER though, don't answer the questions.  Allow the receiving to come in the perfect time and in whatever way it shows up.  Living from the question will help you to open up (at the subconscious level) to receiving!!!  Let go and allow!!

Living from the Question

Note:  This blog is being relocated to www.koropeski.com

This is also known as being open to all possibilities.  How often do we want a change in our lives and assume that we know all the ways that the change can occur?  Every time we come to a conclusion about what has to happen for that change, we limit the Universe from gifting to us in infinite ways.  Be open to all possibilities.  Don't answer the questions you ask.  Just live from the question.  Living from the question allows us to be open to receive much more abundantly!!!

So You Want to Change Things?

Note:  This blog is being relocated to www.koropeski.com

The only thing you need to do is FEEL differently about what it is you are looking at.  It's called the "observer effect".  It's a universal law.  When you change how you feel when you are looking at something, what you are looking at changes.  Go inside yourself if you want change.  Drop the finger pointing, the blame and trying to make everyone else change.  It's an inside job!

Divine Timing

Note:  This blog is being relocated to www.koropeski.com

Many people believe in Divine timing until tragedy hits.  Then they question why, why, and why?  This shouldn't have happened!  Well guess what folks?  We never see the big picture and it is always Divine timing.  We are all where we are supposed to be.
At a higher level we all sign up for things before we come back here to our lovely planet Earth.  It's just that we cannot see it clearly because we have had a veil pulled over our expansive vision.  Good thing eh?  Otherwise we'd go crazy.  But we all make spiritual contracts before we come here.
Now some of you will say "I would never have signed up for this!  It's an accident."  But honestly even accidents have Divine timing.  Just find some solace today in knowing that you truly are where you are supposed to be and that every challenge, problem and tragedy are opportunities for spiritual growth.  It's one of the big reasons why you came here - to experience those problems and move through them and in the process transform yourself.  You are an eternal being!

Neutrality

Note:  This blog is being relocated to www.koropeski.com

Neutrality.  Not what many people think it is.  When I say I endeavour to be neutral and non-reactive in any given situation, what I mean is that I maintain a calm feeling of ease in my body.  It doesn't mean I don't have an opinion about it.  Quite the contrary.  I may even dislike the situation quite a bit.  It's just about forgiveness in the moment.  Staying at peace within one's self regardless of what's going on.  That allows you to keep your power, raise your frequency, and affect everyone around you in a positive way.  Mother Teresa understood this well.  She said don't invite me to an anti-war rally.  I won't come.  Invite me to a peace march.  Keep your light, and let it shine, regardless of what comes your way.  It's how we positively affect the world around us.  It's our calling. :o)  Have a great day!

So what is resistance?

Note:  This blog is being relocated to www.koropeski.com

Resistance is when you feel anything at all uncomfortable in your body about anything!  Do you have feelings of frustration, anger, uneasiness or uncomfortablenss about something?  Then you have resistance to that which you are observing.  People are always saying "what you resist persists" but it's not just about an external pushing against.  It's really about your energy.

In order to drop all resistance you must go to a place inside of yourself that feels calm and relaxed and at ease when you are observing that which you don't like.  And it certainly doesn't mean you condone or like it either!  It just means you keep your power and stay in alignment with your Divinity.

So next time you see or hear something you don't like, choose to keep your power and stay at ease within yourself.  That, my friends, in non-resistance!

Resistance to Life

Note:  This blog is being relocated to www.koropeski.com

Resistance to anything really locks things in place, whether you want it locked in place or not.  That's just how energy works.  What you FEEL about you bring about.  So if you are feeling grateful about something you are allowing the Universe to continue gifting you with more of the same.  If you are resisting anything, you are still giving out signals to the Universe to give you more of the same.  The easiest way I have found to drop resistance is by first recognizing it, and secondly, by deciding you actually want to drop the resistance.  It's hard to make that decision sometimes when you are upset or angry.  But choosing to drop the resistance is important because it allows you to keep your energy and your power instead of giving it away on a silver platter to whatever or whoever you are resisting.  So the next time you are really resisting something, just ask yourself if you really want to give yourself away.  If not, drop it!!  Good enough reason for me!
Stay tuned for more on this topic!!

Getting Things Done

Note:  This blog is being relocated to www.koropeski.com

It always seems that there are more things to do than time in a day.  At least for me that seems to be the case!  I really am choosing to make the best of my life.  And so I have this thought that I should accomplish something.
Accomplish what really?  All of us are really after one thing - and that is feeling good.  About ourselves and the world around us.  Like we matter.  Like we care.  Like we have contributed something special that nobody else could possibly contribute.
Just by our being here, we are enough in itself.  So take a look at the list, checkin' it twice, and see what really matters.  And take the time to be present and BE there for everything on your list.  Just my thought for the day.  Cheers!

Tuned In, Tapped In, and Turned On!

Note:  This blog is being relocated to www.koropeski.com

Recently I read this expression on Facebook. "Tuned in, tapped in, and turned on."  It really resonated with me.  When I feel tuned in, tapped in, and turned on, life goes a lot more smoothly.  It takes a fraction of the time to get things done.  The tasks I do are often done much better.  So what is this all about???
For me it means being in alignment with who I really am - being in alignment with my Higher Self, my Divinity, with the Cosmos - however one wishes to describe that.  What are the qualities that I notice when I am in alignment?  JOY.  For a big start.  And an ease with life that can't be described - an ease that is there even when things aren't going the way I want them to go.  And a feeling of gratitude for what is.  For the lessons learned.  Even the difficult ones.
It is when I am in this state that I begin to live a full glorious life.  And anything I do from this state turns out better than I could have imagined.  So how does one get into that state?  How does one maintain that state?
Often the answer lies in the subconscious programs.  I can say "I'm okay with this."  But unless it's in my subconscious mind it doesn't play out with how I feel.  I can believe it with all our heart consciously, but if it isn't in my subconscious mind then it just doesn't have the effect I want.  So my main way of staying tuned in, tapped in, and turned on is by using PSYCH-K with myself daily.   Some days I use it several times.  Depends on the day!  And also I make sure to do the activities that help me to stay in the flow.  For me it is being in nature, walking, biking or kayaking.  And playing with my dog.  And meditation and yoga.  All these work together to keep me in alignment.
It's always my first priority.  Because if I'm not tuned in, tapped in, and turned on - then life is a lot more difficult.  Why not get tuned in, tapped in, turned on - and enjoy?

My Warm House

Note:  This blog is being relocated to www.koropeski.com

My house is warm.  Just turned the heat up.  And there are chocoloate Easter eggs in the basket on the buffet.  My dining room actually has a nice buffet and dining room table.  My favourite things to do there are to serve food to my loved ones, and to journal in the wee hours of the morning.  When I do that I feel my heart open up.  I actually am lucky enough to have a warm house, a table and buffet, Easter eggs, and loved ones.  As well as time to journal most mornings.

What more could I ask for?  Thank you, life!

First Day of Spring!

Note:  This blog is being relocated to www.koropeski.com

Is it not very interesting that this year the first day of spring is pretty much looking like Christmas in Thunder Bay?  And everyone I've connected with lately isn't very happy about all the white stuff we've been getting.  As for me, I am still cheerful about the blessings of the crytal white stuff falling from the sky.  I love it.  Always have, and probably always will.  I just love the way the wild wind whips around my head and throws snowflakes into my eyes.  And my dogs have always rejoiced with every snowfall.  It's just in my blood I guess.  I love it.  Jack Frost and the Wild Wind will be missed by me when they leave.  And, that is not to say that I won't rejoice in spring when it finally arrives with it's promise of new life and joy.  And I'll love it just as much!

Divine Timing

Note:  This blog is being relocated to www.koropeski.com

Divine Timing is about recognizing where you are and what your life is like, and being at peace within yourself regardless of what is going on outside of you.  It's not about resigning yourself to how your life is.  It's really about understanding that there is something to learn in the current situation, getting the message, and moving on.  It doesn't mean things have to stay the way they are.  Things are the way they are as a catalyst to get a message, at a deep level.  When that happens, life shifts on the outside.  Always.  No ifs, buts, or ands.  So seize the moment, the Divine Timing in life this current moment, and allow Spirit to move creatively and beautifully through you and into your life to create the new phase, the new passion, the new life.  It's always changing.  Just my thought for the day!

Love Them Where They Are

Note:  This blog is being relocated to www.koropeski.com

This is a huge lesson for me all the time.  Loving the people I know exactly where they are, right now.  And what does that mean really?  It is about how you feel inside of yourself when you think, speak, see or interact with anyone else.
If you feel discomfort or resistance inside then it's a signal that you aren't really accepting them as they are.  Loving someone right where they are is when you are able to be in complete calm, peaceful acceptance of them,  and actually feel that inside of your body.
When you observe others with complete acceptance, it allows them to change.  It's what David Hawkins talks about.  How you feel when you look at someone affects them, all the time.  Not just sometimes.  If you really want to free up your spouse, your children, your friends and colleagues, try accepting them as they are.  It doesn't mean condoning or even liking what they say or do  And it certainly doesn't mean accepting abuse or mistreatment.  It just means you hold your inner state of being in a state of love.  This not only sets them free, it sets you free too and that is the best part!  That my friends, is how energy works!  So the next time Rufus decides to steal my clothes and chew on them, I intend to love him where he is right now.  :)

The Real Reason to Be Kind to Others

Note:  This blog is being relocated to www.koropeski.com

Being kind can be thought of as a nice thing to do for others.  It can be thought of as something to do to "get to heaven".   Many people are kind because they want people to like them.  Deep down inside there may be a fear that if they aren't kind people might reject them.  It's easier to be kind and feel like the people you know are saying that you are a nice person.

But there is really a much much deeper reason to be kind.  It is because of who you truly are.  Being kind is really about being true to yourself.  Who you are is Divine light and love.  You were made in the image and likeness of the Creator.  So once you scrap all the junk (fears, anger, etc.) you've accumulated, what is at the very core of you and every other being is just pure love.  Pure love is kind.  And, it's who you are.  So being kind is really about being true to yourself - the very nature of who you truly are. :O)

So let kindness flow from you not because the other person deserves or needs kindness.  And don't hold your kindness back when you don't like another person.  Let kindness flow from you even when the other person is cranky or miserable towards you.  It's not about them - it's about you.  Be kind because it's who you truly are.  It's all about being true to yourself and your very deep inherent nature.  Have a wonder-filled day!

Ripples Backwards and Forwards

Note:  This blog is being relocated to www.koropeski.com

What you do today ripples backwards and forwards in time.  Time is an illusion.  If you would like a scientific explanation about this check out Brian Greene's "The Fabric of the Cosmos".  Regardless of what appears to be different times, there really only is NOW.  Everything you feel, think, say and do affects you and everyone around you.  You can live today in the now forgiving, feeling alive and open hearted - and this will bring healing and peace to your life now and as well it will bring healing and peace to all other timelines you are involved in.  Or you could feel angry, hold grudges and create more havoc in your life and the lives of others.  Either way, my friends, it does ripple backwords and forwards.  Want to heal a past life?  Or create a brilliant future?  It's all about how you feel and think and act NOW.  It will ripple out backwards and forwards throughout the entire Universe.  Many Blessings for a wonder-filled day!
